News from April

24th April

The news has been a long time coming, but finally the verdict from Mercury Records has arrived.
The 45s are now an unsigned band.
Mercury was recently taken over by new people who decided that they wanted to re-evaluate every single act signed to the label. Basically, it seems, the future validity of each band's contract went down to the decision of one person. One of the new managing directors was at the Borderline gig on 27th March, and apparently wasn't impressed. Ah well, life goes on.
The band are currently considering where to go from here. Hopefully more news should be with us shortly. One thing is for sure though, we will continue to stick by the 45s, and aim to show the record industry what they're missing out on. As soon as anything else is announced, it will be posted here.
