As they took to the stage, it became apparent that the 45s are a band with more energy and enthusiasm than a newly recruited children’s TV presenter. They bounced their way through the set, belting out one potential hit after another. With tunes catchier than the common cold, they are surely a force to be reckoned with in the ongoing battle against talentless manufactured pop.
Portions of the crowd were less than receptive, which left the atmosphere feeling a bit flat. However, that was no reflection on the amount of effort being put in by the band to engage with their audience.
Their great music and amazing stage presence make The 45s one very entertaining live act. These guys deserve to go far, but in the fickle world of pop, anything could happen…
